A state of Parabole (Poem)
It feels like my heart is leaving my body,
And my body's trapped inside, a lifeless nest.
Perhaps a cage in a prism, where I must shine,
But remain unseen, a state of anguish, not divine.
A state of parabole; A very bad state to be in.
Even if I am wrong will you still judge me,
Even if I'm flawed, can you still respect me?
A state of turmoil, with emotions wild,
A place I hate to be, like an anxious child.
Even if I am a bad human will you still love me,
A state of parabole, hysterical in its nature,
A bad state I hate to be in.
This i call the deception of love from another human
This poem expresses a deep sense of emotional distress and confusion. I experienced a disconnection between my heart and body, feeling trapped and unable to be seen by others. The imagery of a "cage in a prism" suggests a feeling of being trapped and unable to fully express oneself.
The repeated use of the phrase "a state of parabole" emphasizes the speaker's sense of being stuck or suspended in a difficult situation. The line "Maybe I am a cage in a prism, with only an ability to shine and not be seen" is particularly powerful, conveying a sense of isolation and invisibility.
I questioned the second stanza revealing a sense of vulnerability and fear of judgment i face from other people. The phrase "hysterical in its nature" suggests a feeling of being overwhelmed by emotion and unable to control it.
Overall, what I see to portray with this poem is a complex emotional state and highlights the challenges of feeling trapped and invisible. It is a poignant reflection on the difficulties of being human and the importance of empathy and understanding from others.
